My husband and I met Charlene and Dan through our friends. We have been going back and forth on buying a house for over 3 years. Our home buying journey started in 2016. Dan and Charlene worked with us and showed us some homes on the market within our budget. At this time, we just wanted to purchase a house. Charlene, probably knew that’s how we felt. She gave us the best advice and said “If you’re not ready to buy, then you’re not ready. You’ll find the perfect house for you. Don’t rush it.” She was right!

Over the years from 2016 to 2019, we would contact each other back and forth regarding different homes that would interest us. Sometimes I would ask about homes that were fixer uppers and sometimes I would ask about turnkey homes. I’m sure I confused her since we did not know what kind of house we wanted to purchase ourselves. All I knew was that I wanted a house with good energy. Charlene was always informative and willing to help. We never felt rushed or pressured to purchase a home.

Fast forward to 2019, we were ready to buy a home! We finally put our first offer in June. This house was a turnkey house just about at our max budget, so Charlene suggested to bid a little lower than asking and we could counter if needed. The owners did not accept our offer or even asked for a counter. Let’s just say that house was on the market for 5 months! We put our second offer in July at a fixer upper house which was just at our budget. This house had a solar panel contract we would take over for 15 years. To me, that was ridiculous! Charlene and Dan did their best to negotiate with the sellers on what would be best for both parties. After realizing the sellers were not willing to negotiate, we decided to back out of escrow.

Charlene and Dan were very understanding throughout our home buying process. I continued to look at homes everyday on Redfin and went to open houses here and there. Charlene would always be willing to show me houses and would even come with us to some open houses. I almost lost hope that we would find a house and even regretted backing out of escrow. Charlene was reassuring and reminded us to be patient. She knew we’d find our perfect home. She was right again!

Finally, a turnkey home came on the market and we put a bid on it in October after the first open house. Unfortunately, an investor bid cash and the sellers did not accept our offer. Charlene did not lose hope. She told me, cash investors can come out of escrow as fast as they come in. I continued to look at other houses, but did not like them enough to put an offer in. Charlene followed up daily on the house we put an offer in to see if they were going to close escrow. Fortunately, they didn’t! We went into a bidding war with 2 other buyers. Charlene told us about how much we should bid. We did what she said and won!

Charlene and Dan did an amazing job negotiating with the sellers and helping us to make sure we had all the information we needed to close escrow. Escrow was a bit stressful, but we knew everything was going to be fine with Charlene and Dan on our side. We got everything we wanted in the negotiations and couldn’t be happier with our purchase! We found our home.

Charlene and Dan continue to help us with any questions we have about our home. They truly treat us like family. We love them so much that we wanted them to be part of our house blessing. We were so glad to share that experience with them because they’re family to us too!
