Following the passing of her fiancé, Charlie moved to Northwest Arkansas to be closer to family—and the impetus for her plunge into the real estate industry was a personal one. Upon settling in Northwest Arkansas, Charlie encountered a stark reality: the real estate broker she worked with fell woefully short of expectations. This supposed professional merely opened doors for house viewings, offering little guidance on the buying process or recommendations for crucial services like inspections and mortgages. It was Charlie’s own initiative, not the broker's assistance, that led them to their home. Moreover, the broker's lack of professionalism extended to tardiness, disheveled appearances, and absenteeism at crucial stages like the closing. Opportunities for negotiating repairs, closing costs, and securing a home warranty were overlooked, leaving Charlie feeling underserved and undervalued.
Only after Charlie entered into the real estate profession did she realize how poorly she’d been treated.
