What a great experience buying my first home! If you would like to have the experience fun and goofy Chris is your guy! Butttt if you also like to keep things nothing but professional Chris is also the man for that!!

A consummate professional every step along the way. With record speed, Chris listed, staged, photographed, produced beautiful glossy brochures, and had the house sold and closed in just a few weeks. My experience with Chris was so great, I can very enthusiastically recommend his services.

This is my story…

My husband and I left Colorado and came to Virginia to care for my mom and grandmother. In the midst of the global pandemic and the continuing deterioration of the families’ health, we decided it was time sell our Colorado home and make the stay in Virginia a permanent move. We contacted realtors based on recommendations of neighbors and had very disappointing and unsatisfactory results, needless to say these interactions only added a new level of stress to the idea of selling the home our family created and shared for more than 20 years. My sister-in-law kept saying we really needed to call Chris, best advice she’s ever given us!

The relief we felt after the first conversation with Chris was incredible, finally we felt we were in the hands of a very competent professional. We had questions, he had answers, we had problems, he had solutions, we needed work done, he had contacts, not only did he have the local contacts, but he set everything up.

I planned the trip back to Colorado, fly in, pack up, drive back. Just before the trip, Grandma took a turn for the worst, the family spent a week at her bedside as she made her journey to heaven. One week to the day of her burial, I arrived in Colorado, back to the place I raised my babies, created a home, a community, lived happily and fully, talk about emotional. Waves of emotion were crushing my soul. And then, after being gone for two years, I see the state of the house, the yard, more waves, big ones!

Given our phone conversations, I was very excited to meet Chris in person, due the chaos of the house and yard, I was very embarrassed and quite overwhelmed with thoughts of the amount of work to be done in just 5 days.

Chris came in and immediately put me at ease. He helped me prioritize projects, told me where to focus the most energy, again, where I saw problems, he saw solutions. As we looked around, he asked me, “Who is helping you with all of this?” before I could even open my mouth, his answer was “I am helping you with this.” And he did, everyday.

Now you kinda expect your realtor will have contacts for landscapers, painters, cleaners, and maybe you wouldn’t be surprised if he scheduled the jobs with those people, but when he stands beside you in the basement storage room and helps sort the accumulation of more than 20 years of memories and tools, when he makes sure you have pictures of your kids hand prints in the wall plaster, when he walks across the street with you to the neighbor’s house to borrow tools to get a head start on the landscapers, cause it’s a gorgeous day and neither of you can stand to be inside any longer, when he’s brought you lunch, and sat with you to make sure you’ve actually eaten, well now that’s a very different kind of realtor isn’t it?

The bottom line is, if you are looking for a realtor, you need to see Chris, because Chris sees beyond the property to be sold, Chris sees you.
