Doug Phelps

Doug is a Colorado native, born in Fort Collins and raised in Colorado Springs at the foot of Pikes Peak. He is a life-long (well, almost – he started at age 5) golfer and current single-digit handicapper. He attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, played on the golf team, and majored in marketing. He returned to Colorado after graduation to be close to the mountains that bring him such delight and is a continuing resident of the southwest Denver metro area.

Doug is committed to honesty, authenticity, and integrity in all aspects of his life. He is keen to learn, adapt, and improve – to be better than he was yesterday. He’s a servant-minded leader seeking to inspire change that makes a difference in people and their lives. He anchors all in his spirituality and faith in God and believes if he is not giving away more than he’s getting, he’s not doing life right.

Doug partners with sellers and buyers – upsizing, downsizing, relocating, and investing – to help with the purchase and sale of single-family homes, patio homes, townhomes, and condos. He has a special interest in lifestyle living that involves low-maintenance homes in and around golf course communities. He brings an extensive background in sales, marketing, negotiations, and operations to his real estate consulting business, which focuses on delivering expertise and solutions for clients buying or selling.

Doug’s creative side is fed through participation in the Colorado Chorale, a community choral group where he sings, dances, and teams with others to entertain audiences around the Denver metro area. His volunteer community service includes serving in myriad ways at church and leading boards of directors, fund-raising, project management, marketing, event planning, training, and managing significant numbers of volunteers.

Doug’s passions include his wife, children, and grandchild, competitive amateur golf, reading, praying, traveling, smooth jazz, and Broadway musicals. James Taylor, Norah Jones, Michael Bublé, and Chris Botti are among his favorite musicians. Scotland (the birthplace of golf, of course!), Ireland, Italy, and New York are among his favorite destinations. He enjoys warm temperatures, smooth Scotch, and pepperoni-mushroom-spinach pizza.
