About Jay
Jay has been a Realtor for over 30 years. In that time, he has seen good and bad markets. He gets great satisfaction from helping his clients, whether they are first time buyers, move up clients, move down clients, or investors and businesses achieving their real estate dreams and needs in all markets. A Realtor, such as himself, who has been through multiple market cycles, brings decades of accumulated knowledge and experience to the transaction. Jay’s range of accumulated knowledge is broad and varied. He has been an active real estate investor since 1976, when he started investing in Denver real estate, while attending college for real estate and construction management at The University of Denver. He also had an active remodeling and general contracting business prior to becoming a full time Realtor in 1984. During the early 1990's, he started a home inspection business in Denver, performing thousands of property inspections before selling the business and returning to real estate brokerage full time in 1995. This experience and background gives Jay a wide range of accumulated knowledge to benefit his clients and help them evaluate the property they are considering.
Jay is knowledgeable and experienced in both residential and commercial real estate, including land and new construction. He works in all areas of Metro Denver, with the majority of his transactions involving property in the south part of town. He lives in Parker, so he does a great deal of business there in the residential sector. He has extensive 1031 Exchange experience and knowledge. He is a past president of The Mile High Exchangors and the state organization, The Colorado Creative Marketing Exchange. Tax deferred 1031 Exchanges are an important tool for investors and businesses when selling property and reinvesting the proceeds in another property. This will become more important if the government looks to investors in real estate to solve the country’s spending and debt problems.
Most of Jay’s clients are repeat clients, or people who were referred to him by friends or family who appreciated the high level of service he provided to them. Many of Jay’s clients have worked with him for ten, twenty, or more transactions with him over the years. He looks at all clients as clients for life and strives to earn the right to their repeat business and referrals.
