Mary Cohen was born in the Philippines and, as the only child of a career serviceman in the U.S. Army, Mary has lived in many different places, including Okinawa and Germany. A resident of the Santa Clara Valley since 1968, Mary moved to Saratoga in 1985 with her husband, Barry, and their four daughters.
As the wife of a landscape contractor, she is an active member of the California Landscape Contractors Association, its Women’s Auxiliary and its scholarship foundation, LEAF. She has served on the Auxiliary and LEAF board, including a two-year term as Auxiliary State president and multiple years as the chairperson of the LEAF Board of Trustees; she has been the recipient of numerous awards for her service and commitment to these organizations. She is also a member of Temple Emanu-El of San Jose. Mary enjoys ballroom and country dancing, cake decorating, candy making and needlework.
Mary has personally invested in real estate since 1976 and, after working at a Silicon Valley firm, San Jose Unified School District and then raising her family, she earned her real estate license in 1990. As an intuitive detail-oriented individual, she chose a career in real estate in order to apply her skills and aptitude to benefit others. She is a member of the Silicon Valley, the California and the National Associations of Realtors. She is also a Seniors Real Estate Specialist, a special designation to further serve the specific needs of senior clients.
Mary is extremely proud of the referral business she has built with the unfailing support and assistance of past clients, business associates, family and friends. She prides herself in giving 100%, knowing her efforts will benefit her clients. In an ongoing effort to improve service, Mary has become Quality Service Certified, a designation that holds Realtors to an even higher standard of service to her clients. As her motto states, “It would be my honor to be your Realtor!”
