I am not your typical Realtor. In addition to selling or managing real estate for over 20 years in the Omaha Nebraska area I have worked in the mortgage industry, securities industry, studied law and is well versed in construction sciences.
Through my experience in mortgage lending I have an understanding of the mortgage lending process that helps buyers as well as sellers deal with the numerous mortgage issues that can affect the viability of a transaction. By thinking outside of the box, I have saved transactions that otherwise would have been doomed.
My experience managing portfolios for an investment advisory firm and managing a branch office for a securities broker dealer gives me rare insight into the macro and micro economic factors that affect real estate investment. Our homes are often the largest investment most of us ever make, so it makes sense to treat them as one and use a Realtor that understands that.
The understanding of contract law is critical in real estate transactions. The omission or misplacement of just one word can change the meaning of a contract and put the party making the error in jeopardy. Having an agent that understands contract law is definitely an advantage.
My strong understanding of construction sciences has helped many sellers negotiate favorably through the inspection process. I can help buyers and sellers understand problems and what it takes to fix them. My access to discount contractors through our property management business saves sellers money in getting agreed upon repairs completed.
I am also active in the community. I was a long term president of my HOA and was instrumental in the writing and passage of local legislation working with the city council and various state legislators.
