As I sit in my new home, surrounded by my scattered possessions, contemplating a thrilling new view, I feel grateful to have worked with Tamar Kagan, who was instrumental in helping me create this new life for myself.
A mere few months ago, I knew only that I wanted to sell my property in North Hollywood (Lankershim Arts District), and purchase a new home in another part of Los Angeles. I could live in Pasadena! Or maybe Chatsworth! I wasn’t sure, but I wanted to move. I had wanted to move for a long while.
I'd never been satisfied my North Hollywood house, and I wanted to “get it right” this time. My search parameters were wide open at first, and then as we consulted, Tamar and I gradually focused the lens. Nonetheless, due diligence was paid, and I’m sure we visited a good several dozen properties in person, as well as the innumerable online virtual visits (which can require a trained eye to tell a palace from a pig sty). Meanwhile we realized that Chatsworth was too remote, Pasadena wasn’t quite JD, and swimming pool was definitely not on my wish list.
Our channel of communication was lively and crisp. The record of our text messages (safely stored in my phone) tells the story of an Agent and her Client successfully mapping out and undertaking a daunting journey – where one can safely say that weather and unpredictability are certainly going to occur. I believe record would also show that in addition to being the reliable, knowledgeable, punctual professional – Tamar was also my confidante, my advisor, and my buddy. Did I mention she has a great sense of humor and has studied opera?
When it came down to the dirty but necessary business of negotiating dollars, Tamar was calm and practical. After inspections revealed some repair issues at Cazador, Tamar and I arrived at what we felt was a fair number for a price reduction. Our offer to the Seller was accompanied by a superb letter Tamar wrote, which provided detailed support for our figures. And the offer was immediately accepted.
Needless to say I felt all negotiations were handled equitably and with good will on all sides. I have many helpful references from Tamar, and I’ve got myself a smashing, full-color, comprehensive Home Inspection report, complete with drone footage, courtesy of John Laforme (whom Tamar recommended).
So, while I won’t be texting her 17 times a day, Tamar Kagan remains an important person in my life. From that first exploratory phone call, when I had no more than an impulse and an idea, to her handing me over the the keys (or the code) to my new life, my friend Tamar Kagan has been with me at every step, at every turn in the road, this road that has led me far from an old life and up to this beautiful awesome wooden front door of 3814 Cazador, which is my actual house now! Wow. We did it, Tamar. Thank you.

I am so thankful that I had Tamar to help me through the process of selling my condo! As a first time seller, there was so much that I had never been through before and Tamar made the process as easy and seamless as possible. We sold for almost $40,000 over asking and I have no doubt that the increase in price was due to Tamar's expertise. I highly recommend her to both buyers and sellers because not only is she an awesome agent, but she's also hardworking, incredibly smart and a fun, nice person to be around.

We absolutely LOVE Tamar and are so glad we worked with her. She made buying our first home a wonderful experience. She is calm, upbeat and has a great sense of humor. She helped us with every step from start to finish and instead of it being stressful, we actually had fun. Tamar is extremely knowledgable and was able to guide us in terms of price range, neighborhood and what to look for in a property. She was gave honest opinions but was never pushy. We could tell she was completely committed to helping us find the right home for our family. And we did! I recommend Tamar 100% (more if I could).
