GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Northern Heights High School is a very small school in a small town. The school is very tight and everyone knows everyone. We have a good understanding staff that wants the best for their students.

I have enjoyed my time at Northern Heights High School. I have found difficulty with some of the newfound rules and regulations. While I understand that there needs to be a structure for the school to run effectively but freedoms and regular day things are slowly being limited and creating highly dependent kids.

I love the teachers at the school but there are some structural issues as far as not even having a basement when living in tornado alley. I also feel that there are some rules that are a little bit strict. But if you are looking for a very education this is one of the best places to go because the teachers seem to love their jobs and are really good at their jobs. I have always been in USD 251 and I love the district and think it is how all schools should be teacher-wise.
