The teachers weren't motivating and the students weren't nice to me either. I had pretty decent grades but I was waiting to get out and start my college journey. Some of the staff are way too overbearing and are not polite to the students. In some classes I felt like I couldn't ask questions cause the teacher would treat me like I was dumb or I should already know what they are teaching.

I love attending Amherst Central High School. The teachers are understanding and easy to feel comfortable around. Amherst's extracurriculars are what makes going to school each day fun, and it is apparent that sports, extracurriculars, and academics are important to all faculty and staff.

My daughter graduated in 2010 and my son will graduate this year, 2012. Criticisms listed in these reviews about immense peer pressure for drinking, sex and drugs as well as parental tolerance for these things. Ultimately what your children do comes down to how YOU raise them to withstand this press...

Because for the first time in my life I was given the honor to have both my boys,9 and 12 graders, attend the same school, while the youngest has a special need. I feel BLESSED, that was our central reasoning for moving bac. to New York. Thank You. God bless. YM
