Bogan Computer Technical High School’s motto of “Excellence Today, Success Tomorrow” guides its rigorous academic programs that serve ninth-through-12th graders. Opened in 1959 and named after former Chicago Public Schools Superintendent William Bogan, Bogan Technical seeks to attract and support learners by creating an academic culture of greatness, success and respect. One of only a few schools in Chicago to participate in the International Baccalaureate Program (IBP), students are offered a unique chance to build skills that will serve them well in the future. The IBP teaches a philosophy of inquiry-based global education with an emphasis on building a better world. Students are educated according to the guidelines of the program’s learning profile, which emphasizes excellence in mathematics, engineering, computers and other sciences. In addition to rigorous academics, programs include coursework in entrepreneurship and career readiness. Students have the opportunity to participate in a rich slate of extracurriculars, including Debate Team, Anime Club, Academic Decathlon, Student Technology Crew and the Urban Garden Club. Bogan Computer Technical High School takes pride in launching its students into the world well prepared for bright futures.

My overall experience at Bogan High school is nice it's fun and enjoyable sometimes, and it's a little hectic, but overall there are some good and actually fun teachers that make class enjoyable and worth it.

I like how the teachers were nice and made sure that each of there students would graduate. I also made a lot of friends at bogan and bogan made me realize that high school is hard but I got through it. Overall the experience was great and I had a good high school life.

My experience at bogan was everything good and he had some great time today and we got a new phone and a new one for him lol on the phone with his phone lol on the phone and I just sent it to you lol lol that's what I told her to send that to text him and then I got it off my computer lol lol that's the one that I got you got to.

I really don't know how it is now but in the 80's it was one of the best,I graduated in 1988,it had great teachers and hardly any fights.

Bogan is trying to get better.....my daughter is a senior at Bogan now and she has been on the honor roll for 3 1/2 yrs. Her freshmen year, she was jumped on, on her way home, got her book bag, ipod 3g, and cellphone taken. I did retrieve the items. But when I went to the school the Security seemed...

I don't know much about other schools in Chicago, but for me Bogan should be at the top for the worse school in Chicago.
