Adams Elementary School sits at the corner of Marden Street and East Warm Springs Avenue, just north of the historic Boise Natatorium swimming complex. The school opened its doors in the early 1950s and, since that time, has expanded its academic programs to include prekindergarten through sixth grade. As Boise's population flourished, Adams Elementary met the growing need for quality education by improving its facilities, including a new roof, kitchen and multipurpose room. Students at the school consistently meet and even exceed state standards in reading and math, a testament to the school’s growth.
Parents will love the open communication the teachers provide and the active parent-teacher organization that regularly hosts events like the popular Back to School Picnic at Kristin Armstrong Park. Adams Elementary offers hands-on learning opportunities and many extracurricular programs, including summer programs to keep kids engaged outside the school year. Adams is a public school with a private school feel! Parents are very involved in the classroom, which allows for lots of differentiation by ability, allowing each kid to learn at their own pace. The focus is on kindness and being a good friend, on addition to being a good student.
