The Christine Donnell School of the Arts provides Southwest Boise students with a top-quality education steeped in the fine arts. Named after educational leader and longtime Superintendent Christine Donnell, this magnet academy offers a range of academics and arts programs for kindergarten through seventh-grade students. The school's educators are passionate about developing an innovative community of learners who build character and knowledge and encourage each other through the arts. Being a relatively new campus, the school offers some of the finest resources for students in the area, including a multimedia library, gymnasium, modern classrooms, two playgrounds and an expansive recreation field. Students consistently perform above the state average in math, reading and science while expressing themselves with painting, music, dramatic performance and serving the community. Highlights of the school year include the annual school talent show, the arts fair – where the children from all grade levels display their masterpieces – and the West Ada Community Cleanup Event, which allows kids and parents to work together in recycling waste and rejuvenating parks and public spaces. Parents are consistently impressed with the communication and dedication teachers and staff here provide and the arts-focused curriculum the school fosters.

This school is amazing. We love the art/dance/music programs and classes, we love that our kids get to be on stage regularly. The parent involvement is awesome, and the PTA this year was incredible.
