The Brooklyn New School has a beautiful mission and vision, but it executes both very poorly. There is no specific curriculum, framework or theory for the educational approach and lesson plans. Phrases like "play based education" are used to describe a hodgepodge of activities that are not assessed/...

Unconventional teaching methods. Teachers are supportive. I would like a little more structure, it can be chaotic at times, and it is hard to get a response when you submit an inquiry.

Both of my children attended this school. They are in college now. BNS is a very special school with a unique approach.
