Charlotte Jewish Day School has been providing a small, safe, Judaism-rich environment since 1988. Today, the school’s 100 students, who are in grades K-8, are taught to be driven, confident, humble, and to use the Torah as gospel.
In addition to a dual-language program for students who want to learn a second language, the school offers a variety of clubs, including chess, gardening, and wet clay. Upperclass students can work on the CJDS Times, the school’s newspaper.
Adapting to school life can be challenging, so CJDS offers kindergarteners help through the TK/Kindergarten Connections program, Special Friends Day, social-emotional support, and special education.
Outside of their studies, CJDS students and their families collect and deliver food for the Jewish Family Services (JFS) Community Food Pantry every month. And the students regularly visit the Sunrise and Waltonwood assisted living facilities to interact and learn from the seniors living there. They can also participate in the JCC Senior Oasis program.

My 5 year old son actually says "school is fun". CJDS has been an amazing and supportive community for us since the start. My son is excited to go to school every day, but also is retaining so much new information and learning.
