Worst experience- the students; majority over privileged, rude, judgmental, have a disregard for those outside of their circle Best experience- the teachers, coaches, and staff; care about students, accommodating and help with outside opportunities

Buchanan High School is a wonderful school with numerous opportunities for incoming and ongoing students. This school offers in depth resources which supply the students with tools for college and furthermore. The school culture is great and overall Buchanan has been a wonderful experience. I have been able to challenge myself with AP and honors courses while also being involved with clubs and sports on campus. One change that would greatly benefit this school is changing some of the curriculum into something that is more realistic rather than something the student will never use in the future.

Overall, Buchanan is not an awful school. As a student who is hoping to do well in the nearby future, Buchanan hasn't been the most informative when discussing college, or preparation for college. As I get older, I wonder if once I live on my own if my school has prepared me.

The student services is trash. This school is definitely not safe for many students. You will get in trouble for doordashing and dress codes, but they will turn a blind eye if you get sexually harassed (from my experience), or bullied. Teachers and workers all have student bias too, so it’s bad. The...

My Daughter goes to Buchanan High and she loves it. She came from private school and this is her second year there. Teachers seem caring and helpful towards the students. I would recommend this school.

I went to this school for 2 years as well as its connecting adjacent schools (Garfield and Alta Sierra). Buchanan was an ok school. As far as the learning programs, super great. They give you lots of options for AP or advanced classes and an overwhelming amount of options for extra curricular activi...
