GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Whetstone is an okay school, the teachers here try their best to teach their classes. I'd say most teachers make their classes fun, one class I really enjoyed taking was Atanomy. The students here are very nice too, I've never felt in danger and always have felt safe in here.

im currently a sophmore and i do not reccomend this school. this is a school you go to if you want to put in minimum effort and still *maybe* graduate. the teachers are nice but the staff are the problem. they care too much about dress code, rather than the fact their stats, state test scores, and graduation rates are drastically falling....

Out of all the Columbus city schools, I'd most definitely recommend Whetstone or Centennial. At Whetstone, I loved the diversity the most. It's one of the most diverse schools in Ohio. Most of the teachers are also pretty nice and and encourage all students to pass and stay on the right path. The only negative side was that the school wasn't always the neatest and there are more fights than the average school.

This school has involved parents and families and a great mix of kids from all different backgrounds. There are plenty of opportunities for kids interested in performing arts and sports, plus AP and college credited courses. The building is in a safe neighborhood next to Whetstone Park.

My freshman son loves Whetstone. He was a shy boy but this school brought out the best in him. He was one of the 2014-2015 Academic Hall of Fame awardees. Received an Academic Varsity Letter and Certificate of Honor. He said there are not so good students ( what school has no? ) too but it really de...
