I like Oliver Wendell Holmes Junior high School. I find that they give students great support and resources, plus amazing opportunities to achieve what they want. But a downside is that even though we are high school freshmen we are not on the Davis Senior High School Campus. This can get in the way of taking certain advanced courses, participating in other opportunities like clubs and sports, and a whole overall experience that we are unable to take part in.

Most of the teachers are good except for social studies. All we do everyday is go over our planners and meditate and never actually learn anything. Some students say they love that class because they don't have to do anything. Other than that class the people are friendly and the teachers are good.....a few are great.

There was a teacher in the eighth grade that didn't treat students very well, and some student teachers seemed to only be there for the credit, et cetera. However, the personality of all the teachers and their ability to teach makes up for it.

I am a 7th grader at this school, and it is safe to say, half of the teachers hate us. They won't let our parents on-site, we get harsh feedback (EX: Kid is just lazy.) Also, have some respect to the kids suffering from mental/emotional disabilities. I can't get over the fact that, they punish peopl...

Tutors are in high demand because students are struggling with lessons provided. Canvas optional so rarely updated and teachers do not honor 504 plans. If you want your child to succeed do not put them in DJUSD unless you are a full time parent, can afford quality tutors and willing to teach your ch...
