My best part of this high school was most likely getting to know the teachers of each subject that I took. My worst part would be the administrators because they are very strict.

I'd say that my overall experience with Denton High School has been decent, though there are certainly areas where improvements could be made. The new campus is quite nice and is very clean (shout out to the janitorial staff!). The school's interior is also mostly safe, though Bronco Way itself is hazardous because all vehicle traffic enters through one feeder roader, and the city of Denton has not put in a stoplight at the intersection of Riney and Bonnie Brae. There are a lot of amazing teachers at DHS, especially in the Science, English, and Fine Arts departments. The IB program is very academically rigorous but most students are not participating in the full degree programme. The honors, AP, IB, and dual credit classes at DHS are significantly higher quality than the regular course offerings, and like the rest of Texas, test scores have declined significantly since the pandemic. DHS is fine. Please fix the roads though @CityofDenton I don't wanna die before my 18th birthday !!!!

If you pick the right classes, you'll get amazing teachers. They are passionate about their work and will go above and beyond to make sure you are where you need to be as a student. This school has a great atmosphere and personality. We may not always win sports, but other programs such as band, theatre, and art are great and have a great community.

Hello all!! I'm a fellow graduate of Denton High School (Class of 2012) and I was a member of the Pride of Bronco Country marching band. There is a lot I must share so I will come right to the point. Some of my best times were spent as a member of the POBC. My best moments were all of the following:...

My two teen boys have greatly improved their grades after moving here from Oklahoma. Some people feel entitled and are giving low ratings but if they fixed their problems at home maybe their children wouldn’t struggle in school.

This school does nothing about bullying: they tell the child being bullied to just ignore it! It’s ridiculous! What a horrible school!
