Colfax Elementary School focuses on its core values including community, positivity, curiosity, responsibility and perseverance. The school uses social and emotional learning throughout grades K-5 using the Mosaic curriculum. In addition, Colfax Elementary also has different resources available to parents of students such as the Latino-serving nonprofit organization Mi Casa, Homeless Education Network and more.
The school’s playground and sports field are favorable and some of the students preferred places to enjoy outdoor time. Core academics, arts and athletics allow students to learn or expand on their talents. Afterschool enrichment programs are offered for free and are open to all students and often begin in September after Labor Day.
