As a rising Junior at Durham Academy, I have seen a lot of what Durham Academy has to offer. They excel in many ways through their academics, facilities, and recourses. One thing I would like to see change is more information about the college process. There are plenty of resources, but little seminars and grade-wide check-ins.

My child is currently in school at DA and she seems to like her classmates. The school is very progressive and claims diversity but only shows diversity to races that aren't white. My child feels guilty for being white and struggles with understanding why other races are "better". They also are pushing gender identity to kids at a young age before they even have sex education. The school claims unity but shows division. They have groups for kids and the white group is a White accountability group and they talk about how white people need to be held accountable. I would think all races should be held accountable. The school is getting away from academics and pushing a woke agenda that will eventually be the ruin of them. I am strongly considering removing my child because I don't ever want her to feel guilty about her race or gender.

Absolutely amazing from a college prep and academic standpoint. Definitely important to note that mental health is a big issue due to very rigorous academics/expectations. Junior and senior year have college-level amounts of schoolwork and expectations are very high. Despite this, I firmly believe it was the best possible scenario for me, and I came to college VERY well-prepared and with less work and stress than I had at DA.

Very happy with our time at DA, since enrolling our child in the middle school. Our child is excited about the curriculum being taught and oftentimes comes home eager to discuss it with us. Many of the teachers are seasoned instructors, having been there a long time- also a testament to the staying...

I am a lifer at DA, been there since pre- k and currently in 8th. It’s a great school, supports kids and makes them feel noticed. If you want your child to get the best education then definitely choose DA, I always feel at a better place in learning than people in my grade in other schools despite m...

This school is very woke and they are pushing an agenda on children. Parents are not kept up to date on what is said and if your child doesn’t tell you then you wouldn’t know. They claim unity but teach division. Honestly considering taking my child out because they shouldn’t be made to feel bad abo...
