El Rancho Charter School is a tuition-free charter middle school for seventh and eighth grade students that is located near the intersection of E. Santa Ana Canyon Road and S. Fairmont Blvd in the western section of Anaheim Hills. The school has a competitive academic program, with test scores in math and English ranked well above the state average. El Rancho’s student-teacher ratio is 30:1.
In addition to its core academic programs, El Rancho offers unique electives to its students, including various art courses, wood shop, home economics and technology as well as instrumental music, a performing arts program and world languages.

The faculty are very engaged with the students, as well as enforcement of rules. They have wide involvement opportunities, including sports teams which many junior high schools do not have. Very structured and supportive environment.

The teachers were mostly great at making sure students understood their curriculum. The downside was how obsessed they were about the school uniforms. You couldn't have an untucked shirt even while you were eating lunch.

Horrible school not sending my kids here. Teachers are a bunch of bullies.Really detention for having an untucked shirt that my son couldn't even see because it was behind him for a couple of minutes it was untucked. All of these advisors are a bunch of stuck up losers that lash out at students.

From the first day of enrollment, the staff has been amazing and so helpful, my daughter says she really does not see bullying at all just by 1 individual.
