A proud member of the Gilbert Public Schools District, Gilbert Elementary School serves children grades Pre-K-6. With a Dual Language Spanish Immersion program, the school offers classes that use both English and Spanish half of the teaching time to educate students to become bilingual members of the Gilbert, AZ community. The core curriculum is based on STEM, language arts, and social studies. Electives include art, library, and music. Special Education is available. There is a Gifted Education program for fast-paced learning.
Student Enrichment field trips introduce participants from Gilbert Elementary School to science, drawing, music, and other electives. Tiger Country offers Physical Education for students of all ages to promote health and wellness. For online safety and responsibility, students and their parents can attend Digital Citizenship classes. The VIK (Very Important Kids) Program is available before and after school. Parents are encouraged to be involved with the school through an online Parent Portal as well as other volunteer options. Gilbert Public Schools District offers a virtual classroom for an online school. Students from Gilbert Elementary School can promote to several junior high schools in the district to continue their scholastic experience with neighborhood children.
