Throughout my years at Harrison Central High School (HCHS), I've had both good and bad experiences. Sometimes I think that our school district only cares about money rather than their students' education. I feel like we could be given more opportunities and resources to enhance our learning, but instead, they make poor decisions. I also believe that some teachers do not give it their all. I've spoken to many students about our college classes, and they all say how the teachers do not really know what they are doing, which probably explains students' poor AP scores. Despite this, I really do love being a student at Harrison Central High School. I love being in the clubs that I am in and volunteering for events (even if I don't necessarily have to be there). I just enjoy helping people out. I also really love our band. It makes me happy seeing people do what they love. Harrison Central High School might need some improvements, but we all still make the best of it.

I've been at harrison central for 3 years now , there have been ups and downs , for example my sophomore year we had 4 lock downs and alot students kicked out that year , but I can admit that harrison central have given me chances to try different things like , experience rotc raider , have different classes to learn different things like graphic design and I thank my counselor for also getting me back on track bumping my ACT score up tremendously.

The students and teachers are the main motivation to come to school, such as my art teacher Mr. Bailey that treats us respectfully but also educates and pushes us to be the best we can be, and makes sure to provide all available opportunities. However, the school overall can be deemed average or even sub par at first glance and administration disregards student concerns unless the school is directly being affected.

This school is one of the very worst I have seen. I have traveled the country and attended many different schools, due to my parents being in the military, and this school is the worst. The students are almost encouraged to act like little morons, just so the staff can get a laugh. And the teachers...
