The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Crescenta Valley High School is an amazing school. The teachers' investment is really what sets CV apart. I loved going here.

Crescent valley high school is a great school with amazing teachers and faculty. They always make an effort to be inclusive to the different cultures, we also have a wellness where you can go if you feel overwhelmed or just want to hangout with your friends. The cluds are really fun too and if you can't find one that you like you can make your own. Joining our sports teams are a great way to meet new friends and get out of PE. One of the things that is pretty bad at CV is the lack of space in classrooms and in some classrooms the speaker that announces the morning announcements don't work.

I really enjoy my classes at CV and I believe CV has an incredibly diverse class selection. I really enjoy the academic aspects and the extracurriculars like sports and the music program are also solid. I don't like the new policy about exits to the school or leaving during lunch / free periods, even though I am a senior and they don't affect me. I believe that they are an over reaction to a previous incident that could have been much easier solved and that the school is covering for their bad response by enacting overly dramatic safety rules. Aside from this, I believe this school is a solid choice for any student pursuing a solid learning experience and good extracurriculars.
I just graduated in 2024 and this school felt like torture. Might seem good on paper but once you actually attend it’s terrible. The teachers pick favorites and all the science teachers are awful at their jobs, just making you feel stupid. Overall, would not recommend putting your kid in this school...
My of my children graduated from CV. Both went on to graduate from a state university in4 years and one is currently getting his masters at USC. They had so many activities - track, football, theater plus so many AP courses to choose from. The school is huge so kids need to find their tribe and crea...
