The best years I had at Lighthouse were during my middle school years. There weren't half as many conflicts as there are now. I'd like the administration to try and encourage students to apply for scholarships and offers that are good for post-secondary education. In my experience, opportunities were given at the very last moment, which often led to rejection or disappointment that they were not spoken about sooner.

Lighthouse isn't bad. They push a lot of liberalism into the work and hanging political ideas around that not everyone agrees with. There are a lot of fights. We recently got security so that's a plus. The teachers are pretty supportive but some take a while to re grade revised work. They provide office hours which is good. Lunch isn't bad but no halal or kosher options. Dress code is pretty free they have rules but no one follows.

My best expirience is receiving immense support every year since kinder. I was always offered a hand whether it was by my classmates or teachers. The worst part was leaving, I'm going to miss the routine I've been doing my whole life. Overall, I feel lighthouse prepared me perfectly.

First of all, my mom thought Lighthouse was the same as it was back then but she was WRONG. I would NOT recommend this school. Find a different one, last year many teachers quit, some are weird, and some don't really teach. The policies don't make sense, There are many fights, as well as some studen...

Lighthouse has been wonderful for our 10th grader. The staff is unlike any we have dealt with and our son is so excited to be apart of the environment. Tough to get in but well worth it. If you are a parent that does not like to be involved with your child's learning environment and teachers this ma...

This school is a joke. Same gimmicks as OUSD: parent involvement, nice facility, but academically and discipline, not good. Everybody is entitled here. Leaving next year to new charter middle in Fruitvale..

This school is really good, the teachers is always encouraging us students to participate on core subjects. Even if they get angry they did that because they don't want us students to fail. For me i'm in middle school right now and when i was in kindergarten my grade was the worst but this school he...
