Accommodating students from kindergarten through fifth grade, Edison Elementary is a fine choice for parents of young children in the Willmore area. Situated on W. 6th Street, the school is just minutes away from the 710 and 405 freeways which makes it perfect for parents who need to drop their kids off before heading in to work. Adding to the school’s convenience factor is the fact that it shares a campus with Edison Child Day Care Center, so even parents whose kids aren’t quite ready for school can find some assistance here. The overall enrollment is just over 550 students, with a student-to-teacher ratio of about 22-to-1. The teachers are experienced and well-qualified, with 93% having more than three years of experience. Edison boasts a learning garden, which gives students the opportunity to learn about botany and similar sciences while also providing them with a tranquil study area. Musical instruction is also prioritized, as the school offers a choir and training in certain instruments. Edison Elementary emphasizes technological literacy as well, with two separate computer labs on campus. Every student has access to their own Chromebook while in the labs, helping them to establish skills that can serve them both in their academic and professional futures.

Our family has three children enrolled at Edison and we genuinely feel like all of our kiddos are supported as individuals and are thriving there, due to a staff that truly values their education and socioemotional growth.

She knows what being a scholar means and the meaning of perseverance. I'm impressed and as of today she is...
