Manual arts is definitely the bare minimum type of school, it's not in the best area but definitely not the worse. There are some cool teachers, most of them are tough and try to make it a memorable and pleasant experience. They understand its hard to stay motivated but they try and that's all that matters.

The school is progressively getting better even though it is in a bad reputation neighborhood. I had the best 4 years of high school here, most teachers cared about their students and the counselors care for their students. They really care for you to go to college and will help you out a lot with the many resources that they have. School is kind of poor. Overall the memories are something you will always remember.

My son attended Manual for 2 years, and that was enough. The school is not terrible, but there is an attitude among the teachers that since this is a ghetto school they should be able to do whatever they want. There is no leadership from the administration and teachers run their classes however they...

Although I am not 100% on board with the structural changes taking place at Manual Arts, I have met the principal at a community function and he seems to be making a serious commitment to this school which I applaud.
