My children are alumni of Hillbrook. They received a fabulous education and were well-prepared for private high school. Hillbrook is the perfect balance of academics and social-emotional learning. The bonus to the fantastic curriculum is the beautiful campus and tight-knit community.

The strength of Hillbrook was its unique ability to combine strong academics with progressive arts. This is no longer the case. The level of academics is below public schools & significantly below most of the private schools in the area. The art program is much weaker than what it used to be. The music program has also gone down hill. The students recite the same songs year after year. The admission team has been accepting too many students with social emotional challenges as well as kids with special needs. In theory it is great to be an inclusive school but this is only valid if the teachers are trained in special education and if the remaining body of students are not affected and being challenged to their potential.

Hillbrook is one of the best JK-8 independent schools in the area! As a parent and employee of the school, I couldn't be happier. The kindergarten experience my son had was magical, and I'm so grateful that he's growing up in an educational environment where he is so deeply known and loved by the teachers with whom he spends his days.
