If you are a Mathews County Virginia Native (Been Here--Born Here), you can get away with anything in School. Illegal Drugs, Underage Drinking, Bullying, Vandalism, etc... Everything is acceptable if you know and are part of the " good ole boys ". Expect retaliation and harassment if you don't know the right people.

Mathews High School has some very good opportunities for college preparation. They have been making efforts to provide more clubs and activities. There could be more effort towards certain issues though.
