I am a transfer student since my junior year so I was not able to get the full four year experience being at this high school, but from my two years it has been a pleasant experience. Benson high really helps with setting students up for success and having a lot of options and help to give to students so that they have what they need in order to get things done.

Benson high school was my first choice when going into high school. But only now that i am attending it I know how it is really like. The clubs and activities are so fun and there are many great opportunities here. The academy choices are a nice opportunity. The health academy being what they are known for. I am in the health academy and I am so glad i chose it. I feel welcome at Benson high school there are some problems though. At benson the food is not very good and some of the kids that disrupt are very frustrating they don't really care how others feel for example during the pre act they kept on talking and it was very hard to focus on the test. The bathrooms could definitely use some improvement the stall doors don't even lock securely and it's kinda dirty. They do provide menstrual products though. But at benson I believe the good outweighs the bad. The teachers are so welcoming and supportive and answer any questions you ask. I wouldn't change my school for the world.

The one thing I love most about that school is the teachers. I say this because they are willing to anything possible for their students no what they need.

All the negative reviews have been accurate. My son has gone there for 4 years. I just found this website. The statistics seem to accurately portray the reality of this school. I actually go to this school and so far the teachers are amazing and they really do care about the students. The teachers also work really well with the students and their academics. The principal is awesome and he works with the kids each individually in their own way. Some of the kids have trouble...

I'm a grandparent, and Benson has lost it unity. I saw a teacher at open house sit on his butte and chit chat with a person with very small children and ignore high school parents while he discussed grade school computer systems. Also didn't know how to bring up grades on the computer he was playing...

The teachers do not understand the concept of an IEP, the principle does not care about parent concerns and parents that are involved are ignored. The staff is rude to parents and students alike, the testing is very low. Transportation is not provided to students less than 2 miles away. School will...
