GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My teachers are great. I'm involved with my friends and peers. My freshman year at benson wasn't really great. It was during the quarantine. Online school was also not great. I didn't learn well during that time. I learn better in person. when they changed it to in person school I learned better I managed to pass my classes. one of my classes my teacher was too strict with things but class work was easy. I like all my teachers. My sophomore year was pretty easy. my teachers were great my favorite class was culinary. My junior year was stressful. I couldn't focus with school. I was also struggling with personal issues and there was ACT it made me more overwhelmed. Now my senior year its going great. My teachers are wonderful. I like the way they teaches. My finals are good. I'm passing my classes. I would not relive my junior year. I love my sophomore year. The school rules are okay but unfair with the passing period. They need to change the passing period with restrooms.

The one thing I liked the most about Benson was my friends. Lots of diversity in that school. I am glad I met them. I don't like how the hallways stink. Plus dirty bathrooms. Some of the teachers are really cool too. Other then that this school is low quality. I have been going here four years and nothing great about it. The kids are hit or miss they are either rude and fighting or just quite.

I have been going to benson for 4 years. Started my freshman to senior years. It's a best experience and help me learn a lot. The teacher and club coach are also helpful. They help a lot of students with college stuff.

All the negative reviews have been accurate. My son has gone there for 4 years. I just found this website. The statistics seem to accurately portray the reality of this school. Students are not respected by the employees, there is little to no communication with the parents, the resource officer is...

I actually go to this school and so far the teachers are amazing and they really do care about the students. The teachers also work really well with the students and their academics. The principal is awesome and he works with the kids each individually in their own way. Some of the kids have trouble...

I'm a grandparent, and Benson has lost it unity. I saw a teacher at open house sit on his butte and chit chat with a person with very small children and ignore high school parents while he discussed grade school computer systems. Also didn't know how to bring up grades on the computer he was playing...

The teachers do not understand the concept of an IEP, the principle does not care about parent concerns and parents that are involved are ignored. The staff is rude to parents and students alike, the testing is very low. Transportation is not provided to students less than 2 miles away. School will...
