GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It really was an experience. I was one of the unfortunate who started off my high school year online, due to Covid. However, the following year when everyone came back the school made sure each student had an easy transition. And I went from a student who had bad grades of C- and below, to becoming an A and B student. This was all thanks to the amazing teachers and counselors provided. And they helped to give me a better future and I know they'll help others. Another thing I admired was that the counselors made an effort to make sure each student was okay, and I'm not just talking academically, they really check in on your mental health so it makes you feel like more of a person and less like another job for them. And the sports teams are amazing!! I mean each game or meet is thrilling and the coaches really care for each kid as if they were their own. And to be honest school food at El Modena was actually really good. (I know surprising) So I give El Modena 5 stars! :)

My time at El Modena has been really good. I've loved most of my teachers and I'm so grateful for the program I'm in called DMC. It's a marketing academy within our school and I feel it gives an amazing experience compared to the average high schooler. The spirit could be better throughout the whole school but overall it isn't horrible.

I think El Modena is a good school, and I have met many great people there. Some of the teachers are a can be really tough on you, but I would prefer them over the easier teachers. The students from elmo are way nicer than most would think. A lot of the staff at El Modena really care about the students, and give the seniors lots of good advice on leaving for college.

If your child is an athlete, this school is for you. If not, sadly your child will be looked at as inferior, not only by the athletes, but staff and admin as well. Athletes are allowed to bully, harass, make inappropriate comments about females, etc, etc. The list goes on and on. When the issue is b...

The staff in the special education are great like no other. They truly took their time out to work with the children and they always go above and beyond. They always go out of their way for the children and like to handle all problems with positive attitudes. The office staff is amazing as well.

too many undocumented families are sending their offspring to the school and it has a diverse population that makes the learning curve utterly to low to compete with SAT scores or even going out in the world after the high school tenure...scary if your not paying attention, lets not get into CRT and...

I loved Elmo! My 4 years there were awesome. I couldn’t have been more glad to be in such a welcoming environment with lovely teachers. I never dealt with bullying there and rarely saw it. This is definitely one of the best schools in Orange County. It may not have the prettiest campus but the envir...
