I've gone to BHS from grades 9-12 and although there are many opportunities for students, the biggest problem is diversity and that is reflected on the type of clubs and activities that are available to students.

Life at Boone high school is easy to get along if you take your time to do your assignments and find a good friend group. Our music and arts programs are amazingly run in the school, even if they get too little funding to properly run.

Boone is a great school, even if it has its faults. The teachers all seem to care about their students and are very good at catering to the specific needs of students. The overall environment is great even if occasional conflicts occur in hallways and such.

Boone High School was described to me once by the police officer assigned to it as the "crown jewel" of Orange County Public Schools. This is a great school. Athletics,Academics,and encouragement are great. If your kid likes to have a good time at school this is a school for you.
