Gregg Anderson Academy is located on Avenue N-8 West in the Rancho Vista neighborhood in the city of Palmdale. This school serves kindergarten through 6th grade with approximately 913 students and maintains a student-to-teacher ratio of 26-to-1.
Named in honor of Rancho Vista developer Gregg Anderson, the Academy opened its doors in 2012, and is a school of choice where uniforms are required and attending students are selected after being chosen through a lottery.
In addition to their general and special education curriculum, the school also implements the Westside District Functional Skills Classes. They use a modern facility including a kitchen, Adapted Physical Education and Occupational Therapy rooms to assist in developing independent learners. They can also work with nature in the school garden or spend time in the computer lab.
Students proudly call themselves the Gregg Anderson Aviators and learn through the Project Lead The Way program, which uses STEM activities and projects that are mindful of real-world problems. They employ AVID strategies to better prepare them for college, and have state of the art technology and a Smartboard in every classroom. Aviators Away!

All my 3 kids LOVE being at this school. We love the teachers and the principal Ms Shelly Dearinger. Great STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) program too. I've been with them for 5 years now and this school just keeps getting better and better!
