GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

More help and communication to students, especially about things such as internships, CTE classes, staying on graduation track.

PGHS has been an amazing experience, considering I came from a small-scale charter school before. The counselors and teachers made me feel comfortable being in public school for the first time, and I've had mostly good experiences. I got sick for 3 months last year, and they were able to accommodate my needs, and I passed all my classes. The only bad experiences I've had have been caused by scares and pranks from other schools.

Some of the best parts were the way that the teachers cared, the overall school spirit, and the people that surrounded me.

We have loved this high school. Considering it has a long history I am surprised by the lack of school traditions, but we have loved the teachers. There are so many amazing teachers here. There does seem like a lot of nepotism that has happened over many years, but with a recent change in principal...

This school is a mix of good and bad. There are many teachers that are willing to work very hard to teach their students, and they have really helped me to succeed, but a lot of them seem somewhat uncaring about their students. The most significant problem to me is the rampant grade inflation at the...

Pleasant Grove High School is an above average high school. There are many caring, committed teachers who go the extra mile. The sports programs is strong for males and females, the music program is excellent, and the drama program is out of this world! (We weren't even able to get a ticket this pas...
