Best parts of Poway High is definitely the academics. Poway offers over 15 Advanced Placement (AP) classes for people to take. I took 5 and passed all 5 and have received a total of 18 credits for college classes. The only real bad parts of Poway High is the food is kind of mediocre and the locker rooms are a bit old and outdated.

My experience at Poway was very good, I am glad I got to surround myself with such amazing people and teachers. However I do wish that I would have had more of an opportunity to get involved in some clubs and have a more organized preparation for college.

It was a good school. It felt as if it didn't prepare me for college, more for life in general, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

It is a high school that offers the most AP subjects among schools in the Poway Unified School District (PUSD) and also has the best athletic program. For example, wrestling is a place where formal Olympic training is held.

We've been at PHS for three years, and have many more to go with all our kids. Overall, it has been a great experience. From our perspective the teachers care about their students and want them to learn and succeed. The AP teachers are phenomenal --truly passionate about their subject matter. There...

My family has been very impressed with Poway High School. Mr. Nash is an outstanding leader. Very organized and extremely positive.Staff at the school is very friendly. Most teachers have been at the school for a long time.During distant learning, it is apparent they want the kids back on campus.
