Poway High is a great school with a lot of opportunity for kids to mature and find out what they like and don't like. There are a lot of clubs and teams the students could join! The education is significantly more in depth than other schools I've been to and the teachers are great role models and mentors.

Poway used to have a really strong Marching band, and while it's still good, it's a bit of a shadow of its former self. The science and math teachers (especially Mrs Zikeli, who teaches AP Calculus AB) are amazing. Mr. Lewis is one of the best APUSH teachers anyone could ever want.

My experience at Poway was very good, I am glad I got to surround myself with such amazing people and teachers. However I do wish that I would have had more of an opportunity to get involved in some clubs and have a more organized preparation for college.

It is a high school that offers the most AP subjects among schools in the Poway Unified School District (PUSD) and also has the best athletic program. For example, wrestling is a place where formal Olympic training is held.

We've been at PHS for three years, and have many more to go with all our kids. Overall, it has been a great experience. My family has been very impressed with Poway High School. Mr. Nash is an outstanding leader. Very organized and extremely positive.Staff at the school is very friendly. Most teachers have been at the school for a long time.During distant learning, it is apparent they want the kids back on campus.
