Valley View Elementary School
Educational inspiration starts at Valley View Elementary School in northern Rockford, Michigan. This competitive kindergarten through fifth grade institution serves students in Rockford Public Schools. It has been educating Rockford’s youngest scholars since 1965, with many renovations and security improvements along the way. The school sits just off Summit Avenue and features a wide campus with a large play area behind the building.
Teachers are trained in the Capturing Kids’ Hearts curriculum to encourage transformational processes through relationship-driven experiences. They’re also prepared to assist anyone on campus with cardiac issues, thanks to the MI HEARTSafe award. Valley View provides excellent mentorship opportunities for students through RAM Buddies, a peer-focused mentorship program, and Watch DOGS, which matches students with father figures for even more support.
Outside the classroom, field trips and summer events promote hands-on learning all year. With the proximity of the Rogue River to the east, Valley View students have an excellent opportunity to learn about the local ecosystem through trips to explore the river’s various nature trails.

The bullying is really bad for the handful of non-white kids that are at the school. The teachers do not care about the bullying. Avoid this school if you have colored kids or any kids.

teachers are mean to students and disrespectful and the principal is terrible about the way he treats kids.

We have had a good experience at Valley View. However, the school is becoming crowded and class sizes are a bit large.
