Established in 1955, Santa Rosa Bishop Alemany Catholic Elementary School is a private school whose name honors the 17th century Saint Santa de Rosa Lima. After recent years of declining attendance due to economic challenges from residents in the area, the school created several improvements which included interior and exterior remodeling of the school as well as updated school technology. The Catapult Learning Program, which is a program designed to train teachers to develop long term core curriculum planning for academic excellence, was implemented in order to further advance the school in being its best version.
The school’s improvements created a neighborhood buzz amongst residents and school attendance rose from 145 students to 230 students. Today, the school blends a traditional program of core classes with an emphasis on English, math, and science. Since it is also a private, faith-based school, Santa Rosa Bishop Alemany Catholic school strongly adheres to a faith-based education in alignment with the Archdiocesan and common core standards based upon the setting of a Catholic school. As of 2010, the school opened its enrollment to include transitional kindergarten (ages four and up) through eighth grade. Extracurricular activities include various athletics such as basketball and volleyball and are available based upon sign-ups.

A wonderful school. I took my son out of public school and placed him at Santa Rosa Bishop Alemany. I saw an immediate change in his behavior!!

Cant believe this hidden gem was so close to home. Santa Rosa School has given our child something that our local public schools just can't offer, small class sizes and Dedicated teachers and staff, which are needed to offer an excellent Catholic education above the rest.
