Discipline is not as strict as it should be considering the school's prestige and rigor. Other than that, if you take advantage of your opportunities, this is an awesome school.

Overall a good school, but it is very niche. To come to this school you have to be willing to give up school sports or school music, which is fine by many including me.

Lots of opportunity to grow. Academics are not that bad compared to comprehensive schools, (AP's). Very tight knit community.

AOC has to rethink its policies and create a student-focused school environment and it especially needs to readjust its policies and treatment of special needs students. There is too much unnecessary homework at this school. The instructions are confusing, sometimes conflict, and the instructions cha...

It's a fantastic school to prepare kids for college. They can work on their majors in high school, and even graduate from high school with AA degrees if they plan it right. Also, the kids that I know are fantastic future leaders.

If your kid is a type of student who ends up doing all group work, I don't recommend this school. There are so many group work, homework, and teachers make things harder just to make thi...
