VCS is what a school should be. Low student to teacher ratio, an emphasis on experiential/tactile learning versus an overwhelming amount of homework, and a whole school philosophy to just let the kids be kids. Very kind upper grade-level teachers (Miss Barnum is the most wonderful teacher and human being), and administrator who is kind and tries hard to resolves issues. Issues come up every year with TK/K teacher, who is on one hand kind to the students in many ways, but very disrespectful to parents and...
