As the largest school in King County by population, Ballard has a broad range of studies and resources that are available to its students. While the diversity and culture is bland and not the most positive, the learning experience there has set me up for what I hope will be success. The sports, band, and theater programs are very well put together and allow the students to explore different paths.

It was fine. Very standard Washington high school. Not a whole lot to say, other than I met some great friends and had a handful of impactful teachers.

The best about Ballard is the opportunities students have to creating clubs and building spaces for students of a shared cultures, interests, characteristics, etc. An issue we faced is sometimes feeling like the administration can feel like it's limiting students.

We have had an excellent experience with our daughter at Ballard HS. They have a great selection of AP courses and multiple clubs, not to mention their outstanding band and athletic program. All teachers I have interacted with have been professional and caring about their student’s achievements.

I had a pretty good experience here after transferring from another school. The building itself could really use an extra wing, though. Most of the hallways and staircases are so narrow and they get extremely packed when kids get out of class, to the point that I genuinely believe there would be cau...
