GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have really enjoyed being enrolled in a small school like Templeton. The people are great, the food is good and the overall campus life with friends is really fun. I have enjoyed various activities like the nursery landscape team and the high school basketball team. Overall great experience.

Although the curriculum is ample, and the AP classes are amazing and well-taught, it is not a safe or healthy learning environment. There is little to no discipline, students act out regularly, slurs are used freely in front of staff, and long-time staff are quitting due to the excessive rudeness of their students. Students face an administration that cannot, or rather, will not act against any offenders.

Templeton High School is overall a great school. All of the teachers are very supportive and provide a good community for the school. The facilities are nice as well. The school is also academically driven where students are put to a high standard, which can be a good and bad thing. Ok the other hand, it is hard being a student at such a small school. Everyone has grown up with each other and I there is not much room to branch out of the people you have known for years. Not to mention, there is not much diversity. Class options are also slim, but that is probably based on the size of the school again.

Everyone at this school is horrible and mean including the staff. There are people being bullied or having rumors spread about them daily and the teachers just look the other way. The only reason you see good reviews about this school is because the parents/teachers are writing them and don’t see wh...

I’m a freshman during the 2019-2020 year and it’s amazing, there are so many classes and options. This is the best school for college prep and they have so many great opportunities, the sports as well are amazing and are funded very well because Templeton is a very rich area. The only thing is that...

The administration is the typical lazy, online shopping and gossiping crew. I know they dont make much money, but they could cut half of them and not be missed. The Principal is an ex cop and works at half speed as well. Too bad, as it is a great community and deserves better.

Almost everyone at this school is rude. The teachers won't let us use the bathrooms regularly (and the only 2 bathrooms available always have lines going out the door. Most students have to hold their bladders for 2+ hours before relieving themselves). The student environment is terrible and there i...
