As a parent of an incoming first grader, we've already felt so welcomed by the tight-knit Gooden community. The teachers are collaborative, the administration listens to families and is proactive, and there's a clear focus on nurturing both heart and mind. We're especially excited about the strong character and arts programs—it's exactly what we were hoping to find.

The Gooden School is truly a special place for all children. It is a loving, nurturing environment for all children to flourish. I have a 1st grader that has absolutely blossomed since starting kindergarten at the Gooden school. Our family feels very blessed to have found this community of amazing teachers, staff, and parents to surround ourselves with.

My son attends The Gooden School and it was a perfect fit for he and our family. Small class sizes and dedicated teachers who show true interest in our child's education were evident from the jump. The school is always looking for new ways to expand the experience of the students and have made a strong push in the STEAM/STEM and arts areas. The other thing that makes Gooden unique is how dedicated and engaged the families are and how approachable the administration and teachers make us all feel. This gem of a campus sits at the base of the San Gabriel mountains and the adorable little town of Sierra Madre is a great place to go following a school day.

Our son started Gooden in 4th grade and we couldn't be more impressed so far. He is thriving and loves it so much. He feels like he's party of a family there, and the other kids and teachers have been unbelievably welcoming. They really "get" him, and that's been amazing to watch.
