What I really like about Umatilla High School is the help that the counselor and staff offer to students. They do a very good job of making sure students are on track to graduation and on to college. If I could have taken advantage of the dual credit classes they offer much sooner, I would have without a doubt.

My experience as a Umatilla High School student was great. I got the chance to play volleyball or soccer throughout high school, and even though we did not get so far in the season, I had a great time in both sports. The teachers are very encouraging and helpful. I will definitely miss some of these teachers. What I would change at my school would probably be to have better lunches.

The overall quality of teachers in this school is okay. They have great knowledge to teach us about, but sometimes they do not explain it well. Sometimes I feel like most of the students, if they don't understand a topic, they'll look it up themselves or get someone to tutor them.

My student was able to earn college credits and high school credits at UHS and it was so helpful when he went to college. It was all paid for. They have an amazing robotics program and dedicated teachers. We love UHS

As an outsider, I see that the school is now offering a class to teach students the basic carpenter trades that they will use for either a profession or for experience learned to apply in their own future homes. Also, I note that there is a class available to teach students who are Spanish speakers,...

Though the teachers are generally pretty good, the administration does not work well with it's students. Clubs and individuals know now to count on them. There is also a lot of discrimination against people from low socioeconomic backgrounds and Hispanic families. Abuse of power is an issue too.
