Mark Wahlberg’s Beverly Hills Home for Sale

by Jared DanielFebruary 4, 2013

Whether it’s his overwhelming big screen presence or his early 90’s rap career, Mark Wahlberg has become one of today’s most recognizable media personalities. With his celebrity status on the rise, it is easy to assume that anyone would jump at the opportunity to live like “Marky Mark”. Surprisingly enough, his Beverly Hills paradise has been on the market since 2008 and has dropped from a hefty $16 million to a cool $12.995 million. Although it may only be a matter of time before one of Hollywood’s biggest stars takes this home off his hands, for now were lucky enough to see how this star lives.

As you can see, his not so humble abode is perfect for having company over to watch his new blockbuster. With a kitchen overlooking some of the most expensive real estate in the country and his larger than life movie room, Wahlberg has spared no expense on this lavishly designed home.

Wahlbergs Basketball Court
Unfortunately for Wahlberg his customized two story gym, tropical swimming pool, and basketball court has not been enough for someone to purchase this California dream home. Who knows, maybe one of his future co-stars will be able to thank him for providing them with such a stunning home to call their own. Until then, this house remains to be one of the top celebrity homes for sale in 2013.

I’ll take it! Now all I have to do is hit the lottery. Lol

No, I would NOT like to live like that. Think of all that the money this cost to not just buy, but to keep up, how much more meaningful it would be to use that to help those in need. Living simply is a trend we all could do well to copy for peace of mind, and to enable us to find purpose for the funds available to us.

Oh yes, if I could afford that, I believe I would have enough to hire quite a few to maintain the home. Just dreaming….

Grace, you are right on target. His home represents many college educations for kids who need it, or even grade school books and clothes, or maybe a school that needs to be built. And there’s enough left over that he could live very! nicely.

I disagree, his home was bought and paid for with money he earnt.
He is perfectly entitled to live anyway he chooses.

    Live and let live.

Kate, you are absolutely right. Most celebreties ARE giving a lot of money to chareties. If we are allowing celebraties to earn that much money we should grant them to live like this. I love the house and would enjoy to live there 🙂

If I am not mistaken, he does a lot for underprivileged kids in Boston. He is am amazing actor, producer, and does so much for his community. Don’t judge what you don’t know.
