Thanksgiving season is right around the corner so it’s time to set up the perfect tablescape. I have four looks to share with you to help you tap into your inner hostess. Whether you want to go with an unusual color scheme or a more rustic vibe, you’ll find lots of inspiration for setting the table in style for Thanksgiving.
Unique Color Schemes
Looking to spice things up this Thanksgiving? Set the table in a unique color scheme like black and white with lots of pattern play. Add in a pop of color like orange or teal. Colorful and bold table settings are always fun for kids in the family too! You could always set a traditional Thanksgiving for the adults and a unique color scheme for the kids’ table.
Get creative. Remember, there are no “rules”! Grab your favorite dishes and add in a “Happy Thanksgiving” touch. Use your printer to create a simple “Happy Thanksgiving” tag to tie around the napkin with ribbon. This really helps give a polished look to your table.
Looking for a touch of fancy for your Thanksgiving tablescape this year? Break out the fancy dishes, perhaps they have gold or silver? Add in a few DIY elements to really make it unique. First, spray paint fall leaves in either gold or silver (or any color you prefer). Let them dry and use them as a simple plate topper (or place card). Match the color to wrapping paper around a little Thanksgiving favor for each place setting. It’s these little DIY touches that help take your place settings from pretty to elegant!
Rustic Plaid Setting
Everyone is mad about plaid this year so why not add in few touches of this traditional pattern to your Thanksgiving setting? Plaid chargers topped with a simple white plate and small plaid dessert plate create the perfect setting. Top with a pumpkin and pull in colors of oranges and browns for napkins and utensils. Leaves straight from your yard give the perfect fall colors to your table. Copper mugs are perfect for sipping on cider or Moscow mules with the family this Thanksgiving! I personally love this rustic plaid tablescape, it might be my favorite!
Gold Modern Setting
Another gold setting that I created pulls in a bit of a modern vibe with a colorful pop of bright orange with metallic gold dots. This has a bit of a Kate Spade feel, and it’s super easy to recreate. Simple gold chargers with white plates are paired with unique napkins. Create your own if you like to DIY! Look for gold metallic fabric paint and use a round sponge on a colorful fabric. Spray mini pumpkins with gold spray paint for the perfect finishing touch!
I hope you’re inspired by these unique Thanksgiving place settings! Whether it’s a rustic vibe or perhaps a little glitzy gold DIY, I encourage you to take a little time and get creative with your Thanksgiving tablescape and décor this year!
