The Cities and States That Produce The Most Celebrities

Being Born in These Cities Will Give You a Higher Chance of Fame

Moving to a new city can be a difficult decision. After all, there are so many factors to consider and questions to ask yourself. How does the cost of living in this new city compare to my current home? Do I have any friends, family, or acquaintances in the area that might make the transition easier? How long do I plan on living in this new location? If you have a family, it’s important to consider whether the city is a good place to raise your kids or not. You should, of course, consider your career options in the new city, but you might want to think of your children’s future careers, too.

At Homes.com, we know that many Americans dream of fame. Some might dream of making it big in the music industry, while others might have a goal of playing in the majors one day. Even still, another might hope to grace the NYFW runways. No matter what your goal, there are many things that can help (or hurt) your chances of becoming an A-list celebrity. While some of those factors might be within your control (hard work and talent), you still might require a bit of luck to be discovered.

Homes.com knows that where you come from can really have an impact on your chances of reaching your personal goals. That’s why we decided to do some research and uncover the cities and states that give you the highest chance of becoming a celebrity. We looked at the highest paid celebrities over the past ten years according to Forbes and uncovered the cities and states where they were born. Since we’re an American company, we focused solely on the American celebrities on the highest paid celebrity lists. The results of our research are below.

The ten most common states and cities where celebrities were born include some familiar names and places where one might expect celebrities to have been born. New York and California are high on the list. But, just because more celebrities were born in these cities, it doesn’t mean that those are the places where you should live if you want to be on top.

After uncovering the most common cities and states of birth, we also looked at the chances of becoming a top-tier celebrity, based on the number of highest paid celebrities in the area and the total population. As it turns out, many of the cities that give you the highest chance of becoming famous are rather small and much less recognizable than those on the most common birthplace lists.

So, what if you have a particular goal in mind for your unborn child? You don’t just want them to reach any type of fame, but you’re dreaming of an athlete or an actress. Below, you’ll find the breakdown of the most common birthplaces by three of the most common celebrity professions.

So, the next time you’re considering moving to a new state or city, maybe you should think about how that might affect your future offspring. Do you think your little boy or girl might have a chance of becoming a celebrity? Do you have some hidden talents that you think might be passed along to your children? If you’re ready to make the move to a new city, check out some of our home listings in these cities with the highest chances of becoming a celebrity.
