A highly walkable, shopping-oriented neighborhood in Long Beach
Traffic Circle’s namesake, Los Alamitos Circle, was built to handle the crowds during the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Nowadays it handles more than 60,000 vehicles daily, including many Orange County commuters. Although the area has lots of traffic, residents can opt for a pedestrian-friendly lifestyle. “You don't have to take your car; you can walk pretty much everywhere,” says Realtor Mylene Le Bail, who works with Keller Williams Pacific Estates and has over 15 years of experience in SoCal. Traffic Circle provides locals with shopping and entertainment close to home. “It's a really good location," she says. "There are restaurants all around and a theater. The university is close, so there are lots of businesses."
Retail in and around the Traffic Circle neighborhood is plentiful, with numerous small shopping centers.

Another popular locally owned restaurant is Valentino's Pizza, a counter-service joint known for Detroit-style slices. Plus, there are many chain eateries to choose from. “There’s a ton of fast food and grocery shopping there. Sprouts just opened,” Le Bail says. Other nearby supermarkets include Ralphs and Vons.
