Lindenwood's newer and larger homes alongside west Omaha's amenities

Like many west Omaha suburban neighborhoods, Lindenwood was built between 1980 and 1999, with nearby access to great schools, parks and golf courses. But that’s where the similarities end. What sets Lindenwood apart from neighboring areas like Northwest Omaha and North East Outer Elkhorn is that the homes are “a little bit larger, and a little bit newer,” according to Ryan Renner, Realtor at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate. "That makes a big difference," he adds. While there are plenty of west Omaha neighborhoods to consider, when you are looking for homes with more than 3,000 square feet, in move-in condition and loaded with outstanding features, you’ll want to take a close look at Lindenwood. “Buyers love the schools and the quality of the homes here, and that’s why there’s not a lot of inventory at any one time,” Renner concludes.

Distinctive transitional and New Traditional homes date from the 1990s

Lindenwood showcases three- and four-bedroom New Traditional and transitional homes with both brick and siding exteriors, along with some brick Colonial Revivals. While there is a strong 1990s vibe from the two-story designs, mixed materials and plenty of gabled roofs, each home has its own features. So the overall effect is one of distinctiveness, not imitation. A four-bedroom, brick New Traditional built in 1996 with plenty of upgrades, was recently offered for $485,000. A particularly well-maintained brick and siding transitional home from 1992, with five bedrooms and about 4,400 square feet, recently sold for $580,000.
