Several townhouse communities are spread throughout the area, most of which were built in the late 2000s and some that are new construction.

Students can also apply to specialty schools like Patrick Henry School of Science and Arts in Woodland Heights and Open High School in Oregon Hill.

Downtown Richmond, about 11 miles away, and Virginia Commonwealth University’s Monroe Park campus in The Fan, a trip of just over 7 miles, are a roughly 15-minute drive away. West End employment hubs like Innsbrook and Capital One’s West Creek campus, both about 20 miles northwest, are just under 30 minutes away.
